MieCalc - freely configurable program for light scattering calculations (Mie theory)


 

Calculate optical cross-sections, efficiencies, angular scattering properties as functions of freely selectable parameters (e.g., wavelength, size parameter, scattering angle, etc.).
 

You will find this program particularly useful, if you have basic knowledge in optical scattering theory. For beginners I recommend reading the following book:

C.F. Bohren, D. Huffman, Absorption and scattering of light by small particles (John Wiley, New York 1983).

Most definitions used in the program are taken from this book.
